Women’s Ministry began formally at Immanuel in 1929 with ten women dedicated to ministering to each other, to outreach and to making a difference in the lives of others. They formed a Ladies Aid Society that met for Bible Study, to provide support for missionaries, to serve the congregation as Sunday School leaders, to provide meals for the congregation, foster congregation functions and to provide social gatherings to ladies in the community!
Our three women’s groups meet monthly for fellowship, service projects, and Bible Study.

Alice Women of the Church make and send quilts, health kits and school kits to Lutheran World Relief. (2nd Thursday of each month at 8:30 am)

Alice Food Pantry
Gathers and distributes food for those in need. We have always supported this area by providing both food and monetary offerings as well as volunteers! Days/Hours: Monday to Friday 1 to 3 p.m. Located at 311 E Main in Alice.
Trash & Treasure
Provides a non-profit used households goods, such as clothing, clean; used furniture, dishes, kitchen utensils and magazines. The store is located at 311 East Main. Volunteers are needed to run the store. Money from sales support the Alice Food Pantry. Days/hours: Tuesday through Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Bokenkamp Children’s Shelter
This is a special ministry to Immanuel Lutheran! The center is always in need of items all year long to help the residents. The children range in age from infants to 17 years and are of all size and shape. Items that can be used: twin sheets, new or gently used; bedspreads, twin size. Combs, hair brushes, shampoo, hair spray, hair clips, etc.,, nail files, nail polish, hand lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, new; floss, soap, bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels, underwear and socks, new (for both boys and girls); books, Bibles, school supplies; flavored water; and gently used furniture. Operated by Lutheran Social Services of the Southwest located in Corpus Christi. Camp Chrysalis Open House Picnic — October 4, 2020

Camp Chrysalis Open House Picnic
Date: October 4, 2020 – 11 am to 4:30 pm
Do you and your family need a get-away day? Grab a picnic lunch and come to Camp Chrysalis for a day of camp fun! Start the day with a camp worship and picnic, then choose from a variety of classic camp activities! You can hike the trails, canoe, fish, play camp games, try the Giant Swing, make crafts, shoot archery and more. We will even open the camp store and have complimentary s’mores at the end of the day! Camp will open at 11 am, worship is at 11:30 am, and everyone will head home by 4:30 pm.
Adults and Youth in Grades 7-12: $10
Youth in Grades K-6: $7.50
Preschool Youth: Free

Schedule your own Church Picnic!
Congregation are invited to bring their church family to their very own “Church Picnic” at either Camp Chrysalis or Ebert Ranch. Families can safely socialize as they hike, make crafts, shoot archery, try the ropes course, play camp style yard games or just enjoy time together in the beauty of the outdoors. At Camp Chrysalis, canoeing and catch and release fishing are possible, and at Ebert Ranch making and sharing horse treats, and playing ranch-style frisbee golf can be part of the fun. Camp staff would be happy to plan a worship for you, or you can create your own, and record it for members back home. Have families bring their own picnic lunch and camp will do the rest to help bring your community back together after a time apart.
