Who is Eligible for Day Camp

Children who will complete Kindergarten through 5th grade in the Spring of 2023 are eligible to come to Day Camp. This year we plan to provide a Christian camp experience for up to 40 children. Registration is on a first come basis. Your child is not registered until the registration form and a $5.00 donation is returned to the church office. Once the 48 spaces are filled, we will begin a waiting list. All children attending camp must be pre-registered. The camp does not accept drop-ins. If your child is unable to attend, please call the church office at 664-6691 as soon as possible so another child can attend.

Costs

Together, Immanuel Lutheran Church men and the Susan Pogue Day Camp Fund pay Cross Trails Ministry $60 per child for the Day Camp program. The $5 donation obviously doesn’t cover this cost. We depend on volunteers to bring snacks, to help in the kitchen, to assist with crafts and games and to provide free housing and meals for our camp counselors. Counselors

Cross Trails Ministry provides one counselor for every 10 children, plus one Camp Director. There will also be an Immanuel Lutheran Church Camp Coordinator on site each day and numerous adult and teen volunteers. Our camp counselors are college-aged Christians trained by Cross Trails Ministry, a Lutheran organization with two camps located in central Texas.

What to Bring

• Play clothes only and closed toe shoes to protect feet (Campers and Helpers)
• Campers need to bring a healthy sack lunch each day (Lunch provided for Helpers)
• Hat or visor or sun screen (Campers and Helpers)
• Swim suit with T-shirt for Water Day (Campers and Helpers)
